So I been having a lot of fun on this tour it’s small venues which I haven’t done in awhile and it’s great, basically I don’t even have to advance merch with venues and are all mostly artist vends and small Merch % as well, also I been touring with a great friend which makes a hell of a difference when on tour, he has a ton of talent but because he is a good looking his fan base is mostly young peeps (not saying its a bad thing) but this totally took me by surprise because his music is heavy actually it so heavy and different that I was surprised his fan base wasn’t older metal peeps because all of my metal buds when they hear him become fans so these youngsters are on to something.

A friend of mine came to a show and said mid way through this guys 1st song “Wow, His music is so freaking good and different I’m surprised it’s not all over video games and MMA fights” he wasn’t being a smart ass actually it made total sense. *side note to bands* This made me think the importance of bands having a great publishing, many bands make a ton of money on that and all it takes one TV show, video game or sporting event BOOM instant cash flow. Anyways going back to this guy he is not from America he writes his own music and songs and has charisma maybe too much charisma so much that you kind of forget that he is playing a guitar in a totally different way and that his drummer is so good he can put to shame most of the bands that think they are so great, O did I tell you it’s a two piece band? yep 2 dudes rocking up there.

By the way I have never seen people buy so much Merch not even Justin Bieber (trust me i have done many one offs with him) these fans are the most polite not one person during this whole tour has acted like a self-entitled asshole which has made my job even easier and kind of fun this time around, by the way you guys need to teach these other young brats how to behave.

What I’m trying to get to is how does a
Talented musician transition from being looked like a teen idol to being looked like a talented musician? does he grow a beard? (actually I don’t think he can) does he shave his head? Does he just play acoustic only? Does he get arrested? This is a question that I wish I knew the answer but I don’t.

Anyways this has been a great tour one that I would do again if I’m lucky.
